"Dragon" Enhanced Matte Paper Print

from $47.00
When I first started painting my first self-portrait, I was completely unprepared for the intense self-reflection it would require. This painting is a raw and honest reflection of myself.

Painting over the span of nearly six months, I often had to take breaks and breathe through the things that I learned. At over 100 hours of painting, this is one of my most intimate and intentional artworks. The bright and bold colors mirror a part of me that I have struggled and strived for my whole life. It is the very energy of life that floods my being, the part of me that is fierce and loyal and wild. The part of me that is alive.

Some people call this their soul or their spirit. Glennon Doyle calls it her Knowing. I call mine Dragon, and it is the driving force behind my passions, my personality, and my art.
